On February 25, 2013, the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force, Crime Interdiction Task Force and New Site Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in Alexander City.

During the search, investigators seized approximately five grams of marijuana, ten grams of methamphetamine along with an assortment of drug paraphernalia. New Site Police Department received the initial information which led to the chain of events.

The investigation into the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics is ongoing in Tallapoosa County.
